CLASS TIME WITH OMAR!

Interested in a career in body work or holistic health and healing? The best idea is to enroll in a full-time school or program.

If you're not sure whether to make a large commitment, an alternative is to work with OMAR! as a professional mentor. You'll learn the best that I've learned -- a sharing of the most potent and beneficial principles and techniques that I've learned in my professional practice since 1976.

A mentor is someone who has had extensive day-to-day experience in a field who will take time to share insights with you. Particularly relevant for:

Student or Graduate: If you're studying at, or have graduated from a massage school, occupational or physical therapy program, working with a mentor will enhance your practical skills, broaden your training, and provide you with new skills. You'll have "cutting edge" skills that will surely keep your clients coming back.

Restricted Budget: If you don't have the budget for full- or part-time school, you can work with a mentor for a fraction of the cost. Perhaps you'll decide to start working on clients to earn your way through a recognized school.

Not Sure: If you're not sure how or whether to proceed, get a taste what the field is like by working with a mentor. A few weeks' interaction may provide you with the self assurance and motivation to enroll in school. Or you may conclude that you'll know enough to satisfy family and friends at the level you wish to work.

Count the many benefits of a mentor experience:

Private, Individualized Sessions . We'll focus instructional material on what you personally need. You can expect to feel wonderful after each session. That's what makes holistic health and healing so appealing. Holistic practices help people feel good. And they're good for them!

Sessions are one-on-one, and hands-on . We'll talk softly as we work together. You'll get reinforcing touch and words. Best possible way to learn!

You immediately practice what you learn -- on a partner whom you bring, or even on me...and get useful feedback. You'll quickly develop skills -- the basis for self-confidence -- to work on family, friends, and clients. Perhaps you can start earning money immediately, depending on local and/or state legislation.

Your program will be structured around modalities that most interest you -- and are most likely to benefit your healing and growth. Likely integrations include Swedish and Esalen massage, Reiki, polarity, Shiatsu/acupressure, Touch for Health, Body Electronics, aromatherapy, toning, holistic resources, marketing concepts and ideas, and more. You'll learn by feeling ! You'll learn through experience ! Does that appeal to you?

Your cost will be the same as for regular sessions. Ask for current pricing. You may pay as you go .

As for scheduling, you'll have total flexibility . Decide how many sessions you want - weekly to monthly is preferred, not required. Sessions are offered "at your pleasure" - mornings, afternoons, evenings, even weekends.

Finally, you become self-directed in your study and practice. This is your key to meeting lifetime goals and objectives. You'll be encouraged to borrow, study and return books and resource materials from OMAR's rich holistic library. You'll also be encouraged to practice on family, friends and/or prospective clients inbetween sessions.

Note that I've taught since 1986. Have served on the staff of Madison's original massage school -- and I've presented programs at Capri College, Edgewood College, and Madison Area Technical College. Have presented workshops to more than 15,000 U.W.-Madison students in Minicourses, as well as workshops in dorms, sororities, fraternities, and other campus organizations.

I currently lead workshops throughout the country. Love to Teach ! While working with many clients, words of insight naturally flow from time to time.

If you wish to have a more formal proposal, let's structure a program around your interests. Schedule an initial session at your earliest convenience. See how comfortable you are. Good Idea: Come, work with a partner. Best Idea: Organize a group of six or more to experience this wonderful work together. Involve five persons besides yourself, and your program is free. (If your prefer, everyone gets 20 per cent off!)

In Caring Touch....
