Nutritional Homework for Better ResultsStory Time:When someone told me how important it was to take minerals, years ago, I bought a gallon and took one sip. Yuk! The gallon sat atop the 'fridge for more than a year until one day, I flushed it down the toilet. A couple of years later, I met Eileen Miller, who explained that liquid minerals can be mixed with pineapple, orange, or grapefruit juice to improve their taste. You're supposed to start with a small amount and gradually increase to one-half ounce per day per 10 pounds of body weight for maintenance -- double that amount to prepare for serious healing work. Eileen also explained why it is important to take minerals in the presence of digestive enzymes and other essential nutrients, and how healing work - as OM-FREE is - supports healing. I bought my first essential nutrients at 9 a.m., when Aloha Higher Health Center opened on Monday! You'll Probably Feel So Good…After your first OM-FREE session, you may wonder how to hold the feeling indefinitely! You have home work to do, to improve your body's nutritional support so your healing lasts. Giving your body adequate amounts of essential nutrients is essential if you're going to hold higher energetic vibrations in which healing occurs. An analogy: If your family makes $25,000 this year, and you spend $30,000, you borrow $5,000 to cover the deficit. If you repeat this pattern for 10 years, your cumulative deficit rises to $50,000, plus interest. Understand? You may have expected your body to perform at a $30,000 nutritional level while you only invest $25,000 in it. That won't work indefinitely. If You Want Great Health…Your path lies in finding a teacher and facilitative healer you can trust to guide you toward a natural healing path that feels good to be on! Applying what you learn is up to you. Nutritional patterns don't change quickly, and we shouldn't force them. Lasting changes are made somewhat slowly, allowing us to take two steps forward, one step back. We tend to eat foods that taste good regardless how good they are for us, and then wonder why we feel exhausted by the time we hit 40! Our bodies need good nutrition, which requires eating a good, healthy diet for daily energy. Healing takes extra energy, and requires quality supplements. It's Virtually Impossible…To get enough nutrition to support daily energy needs, and also support a healing program without high-quality supplements! Chances are your diet isn't so healthy to begin with. Gloria and I eat in restaurants when we're on the road and probably eat lots of microwave-dead food. Great diets consist mostly of fresh and raw, uncooked fruits and vegetables, a relatively small amount of quality protein from animal sources, and the right kind of fats, and fiber. I'm no expert on nutrition, but I'm close to the mark because I've had great teachers. The recommendations that I'll share work well for myself and others who follow them. There Are Eight Categories…Of essential nutrients. The concept of nutritional co-factors suggests that if even one essential is missing, it may negatively impact the effects of other nutrients. Many people try to fine tune missing nutrients. How can we be sure? Seems to be that it's best to take all essential nutrients, optimally from one or two companies, so that my intelligent body can decide what it needs. If it gets something it doesn't need, as long as the particles are small, it can eject it. The term chelate -- associated with chelated minerals -- means the minerals flush it out. Most people are deficient in several of the eight areas, and intuition tells me that's the main reason many people feel sickly. I remember thinking for years, I'm healthy. I can eat anything! That worked for awhile. In my early 40's, it was not working. 1st: Digestive Enzymes,Because they govern the body's ability to assimilate food eaten, and utilize other supplements taken. You aren't what you eat; you are what you assimilate. Digestive enzymes support daily energy and natural healing. Without an abundance of enzymes, the body has difficulty converting food into energy. It may also have difficulty breaking down co-enzyme minerals and other supplements to support effective healing. If Your Energy…Isn't everything you desire, your pancreas and liver - primary organs responsible for excreting enzymes - need help. Their reserves of enzymes may be exhausted because you've eaten cooked, refined, frozen, fast, and processed foods, as well as lots of animal-based proteins. Cooking at 110 degrees Fahrenheit or higher destroys enzymes in fruits and vegetables. Early symptoms of low enzymes include low energy, limited stamina, impaired immunity, allergies, poor wound healing, skin problems, and mood swings. I also take Lymphatic Enzymes to improve lymphatic function -- another subject that we won't consider here. 2nd: Small-Particle Minerals.Taking significant amounts daily, together with digestive enzymes and all other co-factors on this list, has been the foundational base for my success in resolving health challenges. Minerals rev up electrons in the body's atomic cellular structure and have other functions. To be superbly healthy, your body needs all 70 minerals, including trace ones, in colloidal or angstrom size. Colloidal means the particles are small enough for your body to assimilate what it needs and excrete those it doesn't, in the presence of enzymes and other co-factors. Angstrom-size minerals, even smaller, are theoretically preferable, and I get heat while holding points with people who take them. My concern is that there's no single source for the full range of all minerals at once. Saturation means you gradually increase the intake of colloidal minerals to (first step) the equivalent of one-half ounce a day per 10 pounds of body weight, which is daily maintenance level. To support most effective results from powerful mind/bodywork sessions, twice that level is recommended, increasing gradually over several days before a session. Example: Counting from the number of days before your session, start from maintenance level. Add an extra ounce of liquid the fifth day before, two extra ounces the fourth day, three extra ounces the third day, four extra ounces the day before and the day of your session. To prepare for ensuing sessions, stay at maintenance level each day. Again, ramp up to double that quantity before each session. If you weigh 150 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces of mineral liquid daily is maintenance level, 15 ounces daily is saturation amount. That's a lot of expensive minerals, but worth it! 3rd, the Array of Vitamins, in Natural Form.
For years, I've been taking the best natural vitamins I've found, from Enzymes Int'l., and selling them to clients. Their natural vitamin formulations have extra enzymes! 4th, the Essential Amino Acids.Meaning those your body cannot produce by itself. The body has difficulty assimilating large-particle animal protein, which may explain our typical low energy after a protein-rich meal. A rule of thumb that I follow: For body weight of about 150 pounds, eat about 50 grams daily, the equivalent of four ounces of lean beef, from high-quality, preferably organic animal protein sources. 5th, Essential Fatty Acids.Omega 3's fight inflammation and perform other functions. My favorites are freshly-ground flax seeds, purified fish oil capsules, and Udo's Perfected Oil Blend. Omega 6's are also essential but it's important to limit use because they increase inflammation. 6th, Taking Extra Oxygen…In the form of O7, stabilized oxygen, meaning that by using a few drops in drinking water, you won't get many free radicals. 7th, Lactobacillus Culture…The digestive tract needs healthy bacteria for several reasons, principally to drive away unhealthy bacteria that cause weakness. It's good to eat a healthy plain yogurt without sugar. Read labels. Only buy yogurt that has acidophilus, bifidus, and other healthy bacteria, or take a good supplement. Grainsfields from Australia is superb, but I no longer use it because it's pricy and who knows whether it's irradiated when crossing a border. 8th, Extra Fiber.When the milling industry started about 100 years ago, it was assumed that since fiber wasn't a known nutrient, it could be milled out of grains. People started getting intestinal issues like constipation, because they weren't getting the daily requisite 30 grams of different fibers; the average American gets about 10 grams. In Africa and elsewhere, people don't have our intestinal problems. Eating whole grains and good fiber supplements is the way to go. Drinking High-Quality Water…Is essential. Rule of Thumb: Drink one-half ounce of quality water per day per pound that you weigh. If you weigh 150 pounds, that's 75 ounces of water - about nine eight-ounce glasses. Add another glass or two to compensate for each cup of cola, tea (except herbal), or coffee -- even more if you drink an occasional alcoholic beverage. Measure an optimal amount in a container and drink from it so you know where you are. Gradually increase to the optimum level.
