I Speak for Freedom!
I wrote and presented several speeches for American Legion and Odd Fellows patriotic contests in high school, in the early 1950's, sometimes won. Here's my latest:
I speak for peace of mind.
For freedom from worry.
Freedom from judgment.
Loving everything -- even worry and judgment -
I set myself free!
I speak for peace within body.
For freedom from resistance.
Freedom from pain.
Loving everything -- even resistance and pain -
I set myself free!
I speak for peace of soul.
For freedom of energy.
Freedom of spirit.
Loving everything -- energy and spirit -
I set myself free!
I speak for minds that choose to be free.
For freedom of resistance to fear.
Freedom of mental burden.
Loving everything -- even fear and mental burden -
I set myself free!
I speak for the body that chooses to be free.
For freedom from fearful resistance.
Freedom from painful memory.
Loving everything -- even fear and memory -
I set myself free!
I speak for the freedom of spirit freedom!
For freedom from limitation.
Freedom from mortality.
Loving everything -- even limitation and death -
I set myself free!
I speak for the freedom of all people,
For freedom to be who they are, as they are.
Freedom to know they are free, and feel they are free.
Loving everything -- yes to freedom! -
I set myself free!
I speak for all nations.
For freedom to transcend apparent imperfection.
Freedom to embrace problems.
Loving the energy of everything - even conflict -
As it is, I set myself free!
I am free -- free to embrace and hug myself.
I am free -- free to embrace and hug you.
Without feeling of fear, misery, or hopelessness.
But in love, joy, and freedom, of Mind, Body and Spirit!
Thus it is, in nature. Thus it is meant to be
For me and you, and for you and me.
We Are Free!
